Art Therapy is the integration of art and psychology for therapeutic purposes. It is a creative and expressive approach to therapy where clients are invited to actively explore imagery related to whatever is before them that needs their attention. Art is offered as a way of communicating; a way of expressing what we know. The inner experience of knowing oneself is emphasized through art and imagination. My personal approach is person-centered and phenomenological in nature. My intention is not to interpret and analyze others’ art work but rather to witness and explore what the work means to the healing journey of the artist who created it.
